What the Chinese are doing with the banking transfers is they are "processing" money transfers from Russian businesses. But China is also an incredibly corrupt country. People in the West have NO idea. Clueless what it is like to try to do business in China. If you think it is fair, or even close to normal, then you have no clue about corrupt Communist countries. The Chinese banks processing the payments will charge a fee, whether the payments go through or not. And the Russian businesses have no power, no recourse. Who are they going to complain to? They are screwed. So the Chinese delay for weeks, just like when you try to deal with some lousy Customer Support that's outsourced to India. After that, Oops! I'm so sorry, your payment has been rejected. Why? I don't know. It doesn't say. It just says, Payment Rejected. You have to try again. The banks are not who is getting paid. The payments go to other businesses. The banks only facilitate the transaction, and they collect a fee for each transfer. So why collect one transfer fee for one transfer, when you can collect 3, or 5? Unless you know Xi personally, who can help you? And the Chinese know that the Russians are in a powerless position. So they are going to take advantage of that. That's why these bank transfers are being rejected. Corruption!

Life is very, very fkg strange... I am aware of Tuareg, it's location, it's history as a pit stop on a remote and grueling trade route for at least a thousand years, and a little bit about its people. I was learning all about Tuareg about 6-8 years ago, not because of war - though I learned about the presence of French soldiers stationed there - but because of my passionate love of music. So I became aware of a musician, Bambino, a guitarist who I really like, and he is from Tuareg. He may still be there, I haven't checked. I even learned that some musicians from that region, as well as in the rest of Mali who were persecuted and murdered by the Mali government because they sang songs about freedom and love for fellow human beings. What terrible thought crimes. Some of Bambino's friends were killed. And now suddenly, this small desert outpost that virtually no one has ever heard of is part of today's front page news. This place that I would have no reason to even know existed, if not for some really good music. And I was even more surprised to see the rebel soldiers hold up a Ukrainian flag. That blew my mind. But if these rebels have a philosophy anything like Bambino, then I should have expected them to support, or at least sympathize with Ukraine. I celebrate the defeat of the Wagner murder outfit. And I hope that Bambino is somewhere safe, still making his music about Peace, Love and Freedom...

Those police officers don't do that to join them... they do it for survival. They're as corrupted as their government. The thing is when you're that poor and you want to provide for and protect your family you're ready to do almost anything. I'm not judging. I think the Ukrainian's may have helped to some degree in Mali, but I think the reason for this is to dilute the information space and make it more difficult for the Kremlin to assess the capabilities of the SBU and AFU. If Russia commits resources to places they think the Ukrainian's are, but aren't, they are wasting their money and bogging themselves down even further.

There will always be people and companies, not having any moral, and supports and helps authoritatian nations, to archive their goals, by trading and making blood money out of this.
